DATA STORAGE AND SECURITY

• Data is stored locally on your iOS device using SwiftData

2. Your Students: Students you authorize can access their own data via the student portal

YOUR RIGHTS AND CHOICES

You have the right to:

1. Access Your Data: View all stored information in the app
2. Edit Your Data: Modify any information at any time
3. Delete Your Data:

• Delete individual students, lessons, or payments
• Delete your entire account and all associated data

1. Export Your Data: Export data for backup purposes via the app’s export feature
2. Control Notifications: Enable or disable notifications in iOS Settings
3. Account Deletion: Request account deletion by contacting us

For Students:

• Your data is managed by your instructor
• Contact your instructor to request data changes or deletion
• You can access your data via the student portal using your portal code

DATA RETENTION

• Active Accounts: Data is retained as long as your account is active
• Deleted Accounts:
• Local data is deleted immediately when you delete the app
• Cloud data is deleted within 30 days of account deletion
• Backup Data: Firebase may retain backup copies for up to 30 days for disaster recovery
• You can request immediate deletion by contacting us at admin@msdrivingacademy.co.uk

CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

Ms Smart Drive is designed for:

• Driving instructors (18+ years)
• Student drivers (typically 16+ years with instructor supervision)

We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 years of age. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.

PHOTOS AND CAMERA

Camera Access

• Purpose: Taking student profile photos
• Storage: Photos are stored locally and synced to Firebase Storage
• Sharing: Photos are only visible to you and your students
• Control: You can disable camera access in iOS Settings → Ms Smart Drive

Photo Library Access

• Purpose: Selecting existing photos as student profiles
• Access: We only access photos you explicitly select
• Storage: Selected photos are stored locally and synced to Firebase Storage
• Control: You can disable photo library access in iOS Settings → Ms Smart Drive

NOTIFICATIONS

Types of Notifications

• Lesson reminders
• Payment reminders

Control

• All notifications can be disabled in iOS Settings → Notifications → Ms Smart Drive
• You control notification timing and frequency

• Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone
• Local data is deleted immediately
• Cloud data is deleted within 30 days
